Of course, Christmas is all about spending time with family and cherishing moments together so our theme for this last week in December is family. I decided to take a lighthearted approach to this theme and share some outtakes of our Christmas card shoot back in November. I think the outtakes tell the story so much better. I have decided that next year, I am going to have a filmstrip of outtakes posted on the back of my card.

How fun is it that mom & dad have no idea that these photos of their beautiful children have been taken? Grandma planned this photo shoot as a surprise for her daughter & son-in-law for Christmas. These faces are irresistible…those brown eyes with the blond hair–a photographer’s dream!

Diane, I hope you enjoy this sneak peek. I’ll be in touch real soon.

What a treat it was to photograph these two beautiful children again for the holidays. Not only are they gorgeous, they are delightful. They were so sweet and excited about having their photos taken.

Rebecca & Mike, thanks for inviting me to your lovely home to photograph these two incredible children. I’ll be in touch soon.

I have had the pleasure of photographing this lovely family several times before and what a joy it is to see how the boys have grown. It is hard to believe that nearly two years have passed since I first met them. We had lots of fun together this day as we looked for twigs and discovered huge colorful leaves.

Gen & Christian, thanks for a great shoot. You have such a beautiful family!

I love when I have the opportunity to revisit families and see how much the little ones have grown and changed. I was lucky enough to photograph this sweet boy as a newborn, again at around 6 months and now most recently as a 1-year old. While he has grown and is much more mobile, that beautiful smile is exactly as I remember it. Look at his sweet toes as he is reading his books outside…just darling. And, such a gorgeous family!

I was thrilled to be able to go across the border to Canada and photograph this family as they vacationed at the Buffalo Yacht Club in Point Abino. The weather and light were perfect and the setting was gorgeous. The children were so wonderful to photograph…they made each other laugh and were always ready with a smile.

Delightful is the perfect word to describe these sweet twin boys I had the pleasure of photographing over the weekend. They were so calm and peaceful throughout our time together. One just wanted to doze and the other followed me everywhere with his eyes; he knows how to work the camera. Mom and dad are so in love with their boys and I was so lucky to capture such a beautiful time in their lives.

I have mentioned this several times here on my blog, but I do feel like I have the best job in the world. I love meeting new people, spending time with them and capturing the special relationships in their families. I had the pleasure of meeting this lovely family last week and it was so great to see the brothers interact…giving me a glimpse at what my boys will be like in a few years…and to see how much their parents love them.

Thanks so much to you and your family, Mary. I’ll be in touch real soon!

As a mama of three boys, I always get giddy when I go to a shoot and see lots of pink.  And this sweet girl was so pretty in pink. Her smile lit up the room! Her parents got the biggest giggles out of her…so fun!

This delightful little girl was just on the verge of turning six months when I visited.  Oh my goodness, she is just adorable! I loved spending time with her and her wonderful parents.
