Archive for the ‘boys’ Category

I have had the pleasure of photographing this lovely family several times before and what a joy it is to see how the boys have grown. It is hard to believe that nearly two years have passed since I first met them. We had lots of fun together this day as we looked for twigs and discovered huge colorful leaves.

Gen & Christian, thanks for a great shoot. You have such a beautiful family!

This was an impromptu photo shoot the other day. My little guy was wearing his favorite shirt and when I handed him these silly glasses, I couldn’t resist snapping a few photos.

Sigh….I just love this boy.

I love when I have the opportunity to revisit families and see how much the little ones have grown and changed. I was lucky enough to photograph this sweet boy as a newborn, again at around 6 months and now most recently as a 1-year old. While he has grown and is much more mobile, that beautiful smile is exactly as I remember it. Look at his sweet toes as he is reading his books outside…just darling. And, such a gorgeous family!

Delightful is the perfect word to describe these sweet twin boys I had the pleasure of photographing over the weekend. They were so calm and peaceful throughout our time together. One just wanted to doze and the other followed me everywhere with his eyes; he knows how to work the camera. Mom and dad are so in love with their boys and I was so lucky to capture such a beautiful time in their lives.

It’s Friday and that means it is time to share how I interpreted the prompt old. This photographic journey is for the entire year and I am joined by 17 fellow photographers.

‘Santa’ found this vintage toy cowboy gun at an estate sale and knew that Luke would just love it. Even though games like cops and robbers may be obsolete for most children, we do not have video games, so some old school games are still alive and kicking here in our home. Please know that Santa was not promoting violence in any way, but just knew a treasure for a little boy when he saw it.

One of the things I like best about vintage toys is to think of the children that played with them before…who were they?

So now you can hop on over to Jessica Richter’s beautiful blog to see how she interpreted the word old.
