our sunday.

A beautiful Sunday exploring one of our favorite local places, Glens Falls. Seeing the baby ducks with their mama was a definite highlight.

exploring & smiling.

April 19, 2012

We took a little nature walk yesterday, investigated some pinecones and smiled a bit for the camera.

What child doesn’t love a lollipop? Mine certainly do!  While Jackson enjoyed a Tootsie pop today, I snapped some images of my little boy.

Each and every time I take photos with my Lensbaby, I fall more in love with it.  There is a magical, ethereal quality that it gives to images that I just find so lovely. Here is my littlest holding some flowers…swoon.

It goes without saying that I LOVE my children, that I ADORE them, that I cannot get enough of them (well, sometimes I can), but when it comes to this guy, he is my go-to muse for practicing out a photography-related idea. He might complain a little bit, but I know that deep down he loves that I ask to take his photo. He knows that I rely on him because he will sit still and be goofy and wear props and give life to my ideas. And for that reason, I sat him down today before the last light of the day vanished and I just grabbed a few shots. I {heart} him so much.

Of course, Christmas is all about spending time with family and cherishing moments together so our theme for this last week in December is family. I decided to take a lighthearted approach to this theme and share some outtakes of our Christmas card shoot back in November. I think the outtakes tell the story so much better. I have decided that next year, I am going to have a filmstrip of outtakes posted on the back of my card.

“Sometimes being a brother is even better than being a superhero.”

-Marc Brown

And sometimes playing superheroes with your brother is really the best fun of all!

Happy Halloween wishes from a hippie, Hulk Hogan, a blue monster, and a witch!

Hope you have a boo-tiful day!

I seem to be obsessed, as of late, with fake glasses. I have seen them all over fashion ads lately and apparently I’m jumping on the bandwagon.  They’re fun!
