Remember this beautiful mama that I photographed about a month ago?  Well, her sweet bundle of joy was delivered and he is a gorgeous baby boy. Oh my goodness, talk about love…this mama is a natural and her sweet boy is so loved and adored. I loved spending every minute with them and I look forward to watching him grow.

Colleen & David, enjoy this little preview of your beautiful son. I’ll be in touch soon.

Today is day 2 of Summer Colours Week and the color to capture was pink. I chose to photograph some of my favorite pink shells that are in my seashell collection. I have these in various jars and bowls throughout my house in the summer.

In my blog hopping today, I saw that Poppytalk is hosting Summer Colours Week and thought how fun it would be to join in. I grabbed my camera on the way to the ballpark tonight and was able to capture an image for ‘yellow’. I love seeing the images that other participants captured as well. Hopefully I will be able to do this all week and share here on my blog.

I have mentioned this several times here on my blog, but I do feel like I have the best job in the world. I love meeting new people, spending time with them and capturing the special relationships in their families. I had the pleasure of meeting this lovely family last week and it was so great to see the brothers interact…giving me a glimpse at what my boys will be like in a few years…and to see how much their parents love them.

Thanks so much to you and your family, Mary. I’ll be in touch real soon!

It’s Friday and that means another installment of my photographic take on a specific theme along with 16 fellow photographers. This week our theme was ‘looking in…’ What a great prompt; it lends itself to so many various interpretations. I chose to photograph my son spending some quality alone time in his room. As you can see in the first image, he is framed by the door and door frame.  I love these quiet moments (they are rare here) when my children are content, doing their own thing.

I am excited to see how my photographer friends interpreted this theme as well. You can use this link to head on over to see the fabulous Shea Parker | Clinton, Mississippi Family Photographer and how she chose to photograph ‘looking in.’

As a mama of three boys, I always get giddy when I go to a shoot and see lots of pink.  And this sweet girl was so pretty in pink. Her smile lit up the room! Her parents got the biggest giggles out of her…so fun!

Oh, what a sweet peaceful soul this baby boy has. I loved spending time with him and his lovely mama last week.

“Heaven blew every trumpet and played every horn on the wonderful, marvelous night you were born.”

-Nancy Tillman (from the book, On the Night You were Born)

It’s Friday again and that means another round of sharing by myself and 16 other photographers who are interpreting a common prompt through photography. This week, our prompt was simplicity. That is such a beautiful word and one that I need to embrace as life seems to be so hectic as of late with the school year winding down for my boys. I chose to photograph seashells. Even though we live far from a beach, I am so inspired by the simplicity and beauty of seashells. I have little vignettes and jars of shells throughout my home.

Now you can follow this link to check out the beautiful work of Shea Parker | Clinton, Mississippi Family Photographer.

Remember the beautiful baby that I visited in the hospital; I was lucky enough to spend more time with her this week and it was incredible. She was so calm and peaceful throughout our session; it was hard to believe that she was only 7 days old. She was able to just be still and look at her surroundings as if she were taking it all in. And, her love for her mama was so evident and beautiful to witness. Here is the sweet girl herself…
