I am partaking in a year-long journey with 16 fellow photographers. Each week, we take a photograph that corresponds to a particular prompt/theme. This week’s prompt is SOOC (straight-out-of-camera). This can be somewhat difficult for photographers…almost like ‘baring it for all to see’ since in this digital age of photography, nearly all photographs are edit and post-processed using photo editing software. That being said, I think all photographers would agree that we love to see how photographers transform an SOOC image into the final edited image. So, here it goes. I was really hoping to get outside and take some outdoor photos of my children for this challenge, but we are basically living in a monsoon as of late. It has been raining nearly every day for the past two weeks. So, my middle guy, Luke (who is always up for a photo shoot) allowed me to snap a few in our playroom, I mean ‘studio’.
Now, you can head on over to Clinton, Mississippi Family Photographer, Shea Parker, and see what she captured SOOC.

Your SOOC is awesome. When I saw it, i thought, she must have labeled that wrong, that has to be the edited version! You nailed that shot girlie!!

He’s so adorable! Your sooc rocks- who needs photoshop when you shoot like that? Awesome!
