Oh, my goodness, what a joy it was to photograph these beautiful twin boys. They were so sweet and sleepy and snuggly. I always tell my husband, photographing newborns is an occupational hazard, because it makes me want to have another! I enjoyed my time with this lovely family so much. As you can see in the last photo, these boys are surrounded by love from their two older sisters.

This week’s theme was time of day. I loved that there were limitless ways to interpret and photograph this theme. Originally I was going to photograph our morning routine, but since the boys are on vacation this week, our morning activities have been slightly altered. I therefore chose to photograph a favorite part of my day…
the time when that sweet Starbucks coffee is delivered to my hands! Yep, I’m a Starbucks junkie. It is a highlight of my day.

Goodness, we love our sweet Maisy so much! Although we have had her only since January, it feels like she has been part of our world forever. I cannot imagine not having her sweet face to greet me in the morning or her wagging tail when I walk into the house after being our for a bit. It is true that there really is nothing quite like a dog.
This week my fellow photographers and I that are taking this year-long photographic journey were challenged to photograph money. And, it was a special week for us as this little guy lost his first tooth. The Tooth Fairy must have been really excited that he lost his first tooth because she left him $5.00. This little boy was very happy indeed!

Each Friday, I am joining 17 fellow photographers in photographing a specific theme. The theme for this week is food. I just love photographing food and for some reason, I usually gravitate towards photographing sweets. Sweet treats are often colorful and have wonderful texture, making them the perfect photographic subjects. With Easter just around the corner, I decided to photograph Peeps…an Easter staple for me. Even though, I don’t like eating them, I do love how they look and they bring back lots of memories from Easter Sundays when I was a child. For the most part, my boys don’t like them either, but they know the Easter bunny will still put them in their baskets!
