This is my oldest with his favorite stuffed dog, Ralph.  Sean received Ralph as a first birthday present from a friend.  For whatever reason, there was an instant bond and Ralph became his treasured lovey.  My husband and I spent countless hours over the years, ‘searching’ for Ralph so that Sean would be able to go to sleep at night.  Ralph has also provided lots of comfort to Sean over the years, for invariably when Sean picks up Ralph, his thumb goes into his mouth.  Over the last year however, Ralph has had to be moved to a special basket at the foot of Sean’s bed because the dentist recommended no more thumb sucking for the sake of Sean’s teeth.  So without Ralph, there is no thumb sucking. It makes my heart sad because it reminds me that my baby boy is growing up so quickly.  I wanted to take a photo to remember the special relationship between these two.
